After attending a few meetings at the Somerset Art Works Hub in Langport I finally bit the bullet and decided to become a member. I hope it will help me to promote my work and raise my profile locally as well as networking with other artists.
SAW is the umbrella organisation that oversees Somerset Art Weeks in September. SAW link: http://www.somersetartworks.org.uk/
This year the focus is on artists open studios, where you can come and visit artists in their own homes/studios and see how they create their work. Unfortunately I will not be taking part this year as the sign up deadline has now passed but I am aiming to be involved in the group studios in 2011.
