Priory Community School Workshop

I had a great morning at Priory School today working with 20 children on an 'Adventure with Glass and Wire' Workshop.

It was a busy session as the ages ranged from 4yrs up to 11yrs but everyone managed to to make some great window sculptures using recycled electrical copper wire, beads and scrap pieces of stained glass. Here are photos taken by 11yr old Ryan on the day:

The finished articles! Unfortunately we had to hang them over the wire heater until they were ready to be picked up, this meant that it wasn't the best background for the photos.

Next week the children will be working with another North Somerset Artist, Sally Corney where they will be doing T-shirt painting. I am sure they will have a great time with Sally as she is such an enthusiastic and fun artist.

I must say thanks to Sarah Turnbull from North Somerset Extended Schools and Jackie Mason, Community Manager at Priory school for helping to set this workshop up and for making sure that all the relevant paperwork was fairly stress free!
